As Shadow Minister for Highways and SGI, I went to Melfort on Thursday in front of MLA Todd Goudy’s office to highlight the benefit a temporary pause administered to the provincial gas tax would bring, amid soaring prices across Saskatchewan. Prices in Saskatoon and Regina are nearing $2 per litre, with Melfort and Prince Albert at about $1.60/L. Just three months ago, those prices were at about $1.10/L. Saskatchewan's motor gasoline demand was 1,878 litres per capita in 2022, which roughly amounts to 81% higher than the national average of 1,035 litres per capita. Saskatchewan residents could really use a break.
Headed to Melfort to Lobbying for Provinvial Gas Tax Pause

“We could do the same thing here.”
